The Night They Drove Queen Kallyr Down
(attributed to Lagertha Ericsdottir)
Notes:
It is known that Lagertha and the Wind Child Buttercup attended Kallyr Starbrow's failed Short Lightbringer Quest in Seas Season 1626, probably in the chorus, as this was well before her rise to hero. This song concerns some of the events leading up to that Quest, and it's disastrous results.
Lagertha is the name
and I served in Kallyr's refrain
'til Jareel's blood spillers came
and tore up the World again
In the winter of '22, we were hungry, till Kallyr came through
The Dragon arose, and ate Lunars fell
It's a time I remember, oh so well
The night, they drove Queen Kallyr down
And foul red Lunes were glowin
The night, they drove Queen Kallyr down
The Razor horns were blowin
Back with Buttercup on the Hill of Victory
When one day she call to me now
"Red-Tress, quick, come see
There goes the Great Queen Starbrow"
Now I don't mind bashing some heads
And I don't care if the money is lead
You take what you need and you leave the rest
But they should never have taken the very best
The night, they drove Queen Kallyr down
And the red Lunes were glowin
The night, they drove Queen Kallyr down
The Razor horns were blowin
